Life was meant for caring and sharing, and that’s what I do best. For the past 20 years I have enjoyed calling Alaska my home. My young son and I share a log cabin in the mountains with our 2 dogs and cat. Our frequent visitors include moose, eagles and owls, and occasionally a human or two.
The diversity of life here offers so many resources for material to write about, it’s an authors’ paradise! My words are seldom polished or rehearsed, they come straight from the heart, usually with a comical flair. I am currently drafting my first book, which is a collection of personal stories told from a humorous point of view. Although I have always had a passion for writing, this is my first attempt on a professional level, and while it is painfully slow going, I am enjoying it immensely!
In addition to writing, my interests include God, children, animals, nature, art and natural health.
Please feel free to leave any comments, ideas or suggestions. And yes, even criticisms (though please be gentle).
Thank you for your visit to http://lifesearchforchrist.wordpress.com/. I read your post on strength coming from the Lord and share many of those thoughts with you. I, too have an education background, retired from public school and continuing to teach in private Christian school, soon to start homeschooling. I will be following your posts. God bless you.

Thank you for visiting and following my posts! I want to wish you well on your adventures in education, particularly the homeschooling. I have been homeschooling my youngest son for a few years now, and I sometimes wonder which one of us is actually the teacher. 🙂 It seems the more I teach, the more I learn. It’s a good thing. I look forward to reading more of your posts, and a new friendship as well. God bless!

Hi Ralph! You are more than welcome to look around. (I think you’d need more than exceptional eyesight to see my cabin all the way from Spain!) Hope you enjoy! 🙂

Have always wanted to at least visit Alaska, it’s always been a dream of mine. A fella I grew up with is a commercial fisherman there too.

It was my dream as a little girl, that finally came true. I’ve been here for 25 years now & though the winters are harder for me now, I still love Alaska. Hope you get to visit soon. I highly recommend the Alaska Railroad tours to Denali & Seward. They are both filled with beautiful scenery & wildlife, and the guides are wonderful!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog… and my Guest Post. I hope you’ll come back and visit anytime. Since my uncle Ced lived in Alaska for over 6 years during World War II, I’ll be posting more of his letters in the future. On my blog, his story is just beginning as he and his brother, Dan, travel to Alaska in the middle of 1940.

Hi Judy. I am enjoying your posts and letters! Many of my family members were in the military, and told stories when I was younger. I’ve always been fascinated with learning about the lives of the people back then, and I look forward to more of your posts. Thank you for sharing, and God bless! – Amber

How nice of you to stop by my blog! I’m extra glad you did because your visit prompted me to check out yours. It’s good to meet another author — I’ll be back!
I lived in Alaska (Ft Richardson) for my senior year in high school, and have fond memories of it. I actually keep in touch with my English teacher from East Anchorage High School — this was over 50 years ago! I chose a warmer place to live my adult years, and she long ago retired to the Lower 48.
I wish you the best with your new book!
